How fast can I go?
Depending on the exact model, each scooter has different capabilities. Other factors that would determine speed are rider’s weight, gradient, terrain and wind resistance. We generally recommend that riders do not go above 30 km/h for the safety and consideration of other road users.
Where can I ride them?
Different provinces and states have different laws that govern the use of personal mobility devices. Always check posted laws and obey posted street signs. We highly recommend not riding on sidewalks and using bikelanes wherever possible.
How long does it take to get a full charge?
Depending on the exact model, it can take between 5 – 12 hrs (from flat) to get to a full charge. The larger the battery, the longer the charge time.
Can I leave the scooter charging overnight?
No. To prevent overcharging, unplug the charger once the charger light indicates the battery is fully charged. Do not charge the scooter overnight. Instead, resume charging when you are available to unplug the charger once the battery is fully charged.
How do I read the battery voltage number?
This battery voltage table matches the battery charge percentage and voltage for the lithium battery pack inside your escooter. The voltmeter shows riders how much battery remains.
How far can I go? Does weather affect its performance?
This would depending on the exact model, riding conditions and rider’s weight. Please note that batteries operate optimally in temperatures from 25 degrees Celsius. In colder weather, it is normal for your scooter to experience a shorter than normal range on a full charge.
How should I store my electric scooter away for the winter?
Can I use these foldable electric scooters in the rain?
Our foldable electric scooters are designed to withstand light wet weather conditions, but we do not recommend riding in heavy rain or any snow. Water damage can happen over time, so riders are also advised to not ride them through puddles or submerge them in water.
What are some helpful maintenance tips?
Always ensure there is sufficient tire pressure before riding to avoid a flat tire. It is recommended to maintain 45-55 psi for both front and rear tires.
For units that have rear lights, DO NOT step on the rear mudguard while riding. The rubbing of the tires against the rear light cable (under the mudguard) will cause the rear lights to stop working. Remember there are brakes on the handle bar. You do not need to step on the back wheel to brake.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
We recommend that you check your local laws for bicycle helmet requirements, but we always encourage our urban riders to wear helmets when riding. You’ll love our helmets, by the way.
How much is shipping?
Because of air transport regulations on batteries, we provide ground shipping options (foldable electric scooters) only. We offer free shipping within Canada and USA (excluding Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands) for all foldable electric scooter orders*. If you’re located in Vancouver, you can also purchase online and choose the pickup option at our showroom within 3-5 business days. Applicable Customs Duty and taxes are not included in shipping.
Please note if a product is returned to our warehouse due to unsuccessful delivery attempts, the buyer is responsible for any return shipment costs, and re-delivery costs, plus an administrative fee of $30. We will hold all returned items for one week before re-stocking them.

I’ve got a flat tire. Where can I fix it?
Chances are, you have a punctured tube. Replacing the tube on your foldable electric scooter is very much like replacing the the tube on a bicycle. We stock bicycle tubes for all our foldable electric scooters and you purchase them online and have them shipped to you. You can try to replace the tubes on your own, or make an appointment with our technician (standard labor rates apply). Most bicycle stores will also be able to replace them, but they will not stock the tubes that you need, so remember to purchase them at Urban Machina first.

What are your terms and conditions for pre-orders?
As we want to offer our customers the newest and most innovative products, we accept pre-orders on all incoming models, or models that coming on the next shipment. All pre-orders are paid in full. Pre-orders will be fulfilled in accordance of when the order was placed and are fully refundable before delivery.
Although rare, kindly note we reserve the right to cancel pre-orders if we are not able to fulfill your order due to unforeseeable circumstances. In the event that we cancel a pre-order, customers will get a full refund.
