VANCOUVER, January 4 2024 — Urban Machina, a local store for electric vehicles is leaving Kitsilano after an attempted smash and grab in the summer of 2023. The operation remains in full strength at the original Hybrid Lab location.

Sadly, the Urban Machina Kitsilano showroom was the victim of an attempted smash and grab. Regretfully, the showroom remained closed for the entire summer. The Hybrid Lab location remained opened and weekend availability was added.

After a challenging summer dealing with picking up the pieces at the smash and grab attempt at our Kitsilano showroom, Urban Machina has made the very tough decision to put the beautiful space up for lease with our friends at Corbel Commercial. Between the long wait for glass replacement and the state of rampant, unpunished crime in the city, it was time to leave Kitsilano. During this transitional period, they had been able to help many small businesses through hosting pop-up markets for 2 months in the summer.
Availability and Location
Urban Machina's Hybrid Lab location is open and welcomes visitors for all their electric micro-mobility needs! Test rides and hours of operation can be found on their website.
